Turn off the water in between rinsing. Each minute you spend with the water running is 2 gallons of water used. If you turn of the water while you lather up, you can at least cut your water consumption in half!
Since doing this I’ve noticed that I also spend less time getting ready in the morning. My showers are just a lot shorter.

It´s a good idea. Another one is just to keep all the water you waste until it gets hot to water the plants with this. It´s just easy and you can keep about 10 litres per shower!

I like this idea but I also have another. At my home we installed low flow shower heads and faucet aerators. The shower heads are 1.25gpm and an amazing 0.5gpm and the faucets are all 0.5 gpm. Needless to say the amount we used has gone down a lot. We have also changed our use of water in the outside of our home. We never water the lawn, I dont care if my grass goes dormant, it comes back in spring. I will water to save trees and and shrubs. This year so far our water usage is down 35%. The last two months have been town 76% and 54%. Next year it will be tough to go down lower for those two months but still we will try.
