I bought mix and match silverware at the thrift store super cheap and keep it in a box in the cabinet. We use it whenever we have parties. No more plastic ware, ever!
What a fantastic idea! I was just recently married and received a new set of silverware as a wedding present. I was thinking about giving away the old hodgepodge set we had before but not anymore! This is a great tip and I’m glad I read it before I got rid of my old set and now I won’t have to spend a penny on utensils for a party again. This coupled with compostable paper plates (which my husband and I add to our own compost) will create a minimal garbage shindig!
