Unplugging electronic devices (phone chargers, microwaves, coffee makers) when they aren’t being used prevents “ghost loads” and helps to conserve energy and save money on electricity bills!
in our house all electronic appliances like tv, vcr/dvd players, computers, laptops are connected to a power surge protector. if u switch off the power surge protector, power to all devices that are connected to it are completely cut off. do instead of unplugging each plug, only one switch. only appliances that are always connected are: router, stove and refrigerator.
I have unplugged all electronic devices when not in use. I have saved $100. a month on my electric bill.
